The Veterinary Poisons Information Service (VPIS) reported a 40% rise in enquiries relating to animal poisoning in 2022.

There were over 21000 enquiries with over 9000 calls from owners looking for triage advice in cases of suspected poisoning.1

This dramatic rise comes at a time when practices are already under pressure due to challenges in staffing levels, and an increase in new pet ownership.
